Arsenal pushing to sign Benjamin Sesko
Arsenal are pushing to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko amid interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Gunners are determined to land a new marksman this summer and they have identified Sesko as their main transfer target.
The club's hierarchy are now pushing to secure an agreement, but there is no final decision from the player's side over a move.
Sesko currently has a release clause worth €65 million in his deal and Leipzig are unlikely to accept anything less for him.
The club are also in talks with the striker over a new contract, but he appears more likely to pursue a new challenge.
Leipzig ideally want his future sorted before the European Championship.
Arsenal have the upper hand at the moment with reports suggesting that the striker would prefer a move to the Emirates.
The Gunners have the guarantee of Champions League football next season which is not the case with Chelsea and United.
