The Red Devils are on the search for a defensive midfielder following the below-par performances of Casemiro last term.

Casemiro is currently on the radar of several Saudi Pro League clubs and he could head for the exit door for around €30m.

Amidst this, O Jogo claim that the Red Devils have an eye on Hjulmand, who had an excellent debut season in Portugal.

The Danish star joined Sporting from Lecce last summer and he was almost ever-present from the number six role for them.

His stock has risen on the back of his performances, and the Red Devils face a difficult task of luring him from Sporting.

The Portuguese club are quite clear with their stance on the player and won't let him go for less than his €80m release clause.

Liverpool are also admirers of the talented midfielder, but they are unlikely to make a huge outlay for his services this summer.
