Riccardo Calafiori ready to accept terms with Arsenal
Arsenal are reportedly close to beating Chelsea in the race to sign Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori this summer.
The Gunners are determined to bolster their defence in the current transfer window and they have identified Calafiori as a top target.
The Italian has the ability to play in central defence or at left-back and Arsenal are now in advanced negotiations with Bologna.
Calafiori has already agreed terms over a long-term contract with the Italian club and he is prepared to move if Arsenal can sort the fee.
Bologna are eyeing €50-55 million for the former Basel man, considering they would need to pay 40 percent of the profits to his ex-club.
Chelsea are also in the running for his services, but they are only willing to negotiate a player-plus-cash deal for the 22-year-old star.
The Blues are walking a tight rope with regards to PSR spending limits and they can't afford to pay to negotiate a straight-cash deal for Calafiori.
