Arsenal agree to sell striker for £4m
Arsenal have agreed to sell striker Mika Biereth to Sturm Graz for an initial fee of around £4 million, according to The Athletic.
The young Dane spent the first half of last season on loan with Motherwell. He was recalled by the Gunners to join Graz on another temporary deal.
The 21-year-old was brilliant for Graz with nine goals and four assists from 22 outings. He has now joined them on a permanent transfer.
Arsenal have accepted a small fee of £4m for his services, but reports claim that there is a significant sell-on clause of around 50 percent.
Hence, the Gunners could benefit in the long run, should Biereth establish himself as one of the best young strikers in European football.
Biereth had one more year left on his Gunners contract and the club have made the right decision to sanction his summer exit.
The club are preparing for a busy transfer window and a marquee striker is one of the top priorities for manager Mikel Arteta .
