The Germany international has entered the final year of his contract at Bayern and he has no desire of extending his stay with the Munich giants.

Kimmich played as a right-back during the back end of last season and Bayern's hierarchy want him to continue in the same position.

However, the 29-year-old prefers to operate from the defensive midfield role and he is thereby open to pursuing a new challenge elsewhere.

Bayern are open to selling him for around €30m. Arsenal could have a big advantage over Chelsea after qualifying for the Champions League.

Kimmich is also on the radar of Manchester City, but he is unlikely to choose them due to the strong competition from Rodrigo.

At Arsenal , he could partner up with Declan Rice with the latter operating from the number eight role where he was successful earlier this year.
