Brighton to sign Diego Gomez from Inter Miami

Gomez began his career in his homeland with Libertad, and after two successful league seasons with his boyhood club, made the leap to Major League Soccer with Inter Miami. After just 14 league appearances, an opportunity in England beckons.
When asked about a transfer to England, Gomez said: "My agent is talking with the club here and with Brighton . I came here wanting to make the leap to Europe and hopefully that happens. It will be whatever God wants."
It is understood that Brighton will pay around $17 million to secure a deal for the highly rated midfielder, and Gomez will earn around £70,000 per week.
