Should he extend his Bayern deal, United could seriously focus on landing Mendes, who shares the same representative as Ruben Amorim .

Amorim already worked with Mendes when he was a teenager at Sporting CP and a reunion could be a possibility at the end of the season.

PSG prefer to keep Mendes in their ranks. They are expected to demand a hefty fee of at least £55m if he decides to pursue a new challenge.
