The Argentine has been a quality performer for the Serie A side over the past five-and-a-half years but his future has come into question after being recently stripped from the captaincy amid his goalless start to the year.
Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, reputed Italian journalist Valer De Maggio has now revealed that the Bianconeri may have struck a verbal agreement with the marksman ahead of a purchase in the summer.
"I think Inter know Icardi has already an agreement with Juventus. Remove his captaincy is a big decision and I insist that, for me, Icardi has already reached an agreement with Juventus," he said.
Icardi has been reluctant to pen a new contract with Inter over the past 12 months and reports have recently emerged that the Argentine has no intention of staying put with the San Siro side beyond the summer.
