VVV Venlo have confirmed the signing of Derby County forward Emil Riis Jakobsen on loan until the end of the season.
The nineteen-year-old was allowed to spend a week on trial in Venlo in December and made a big impression on the VVV coaching staff. The Limburg club have now swooped to bring the Dane to the Eredivisie until the end of the season.
Jakobsen has been with Derby County since 2015, but he is yet to make his debut in the club’s first team. He has made nine appearances for the English side’s reserves this season, scoring twice.
He becomes VVV’s second signing of January after the club brought in Romeo Castelen on a free transfer last week.
