Man Utd looking to sign former Real Madrid graduate
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez this summer.
The Red Devils presently have Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as their specialist options for the left-back role.
Shaw has been sidelined with several injuries and he is currently ruled out for the rest of the campaign with a muscle issue.
Malacia has not played since the start of the season after a knee surgery and there is no return date for him at the moment.
Hence, the club could spend on a new left-back in the summer and Mundo Deportivo claim that they are looking at Gutierrez.
The 22-year-old has been a revelation for Girona in the current campaign. He has contributed one goal and six assists.
The Spaniard has also caught the eye with his attacking runs and he would be an ideal fit for manager Erik ten Hag.
Girona could accept a reasonable fee to sell this summer, but Madrid currently have the right to buy him back.
They have a low clause worth €8m and they could re-sign him before sanctioning his departure for a higher fee.
