Arsenal enter race to sign striker who has rejected Chelsea
Arsenal have entered the race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has rejected a move to Chelsea, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Nigerian star netted 17 goals for the Serie A outfit last term and he is now determined to secure a new challenge away from the club.
Paris Saint-Germain recently made an offer worth €90m for the striker, but Napoli are looking for a fee closer to the €130m release clause.
The French champions are unlikely to make a renewed approach, but it is claimed that the Gunners could have a say in the pursuit.
The Gunners are eyeing a marquee centre-forward and it is claimed that they are prepared to break in with a formal approach for Osimhen.
Chelsea have also explored a part-exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku , but Osimhen has turned down the chance to join them.
Arsenal have so far signed David Raya and Riccardo Calafiori . They are currently in advanced talks to land Real Sociedad's Mikel Merino .
