'A sad moment': Emile Smith Rowe reacts after Arsenal exit
Fulham midfielder Emile Smith Rowe has admitted that it was definitely a sad moment after his decision to leave Arsenal this summer.
The 24-year-old graduated through the youth system at the Gunners and he made more than 100 appearances before choosing a new challenge.
Speaking to Hayters TV, Smith Rowe acknowledged that the decision was a tough one, but he is really happy with his move to the Cottagers.
He said: "It was definitely an emotional move, being at Arsenal for so long. It was definitely a sad moment, but I’m in a really good place, I’m really happy. Everyone has given me confidence & helped me settle in."
Smith Rowe recently made his friendly debut for Fulham against Sevilla. He made an instant impact, scoring eight minutes after coming off the bench.
The playmaker will be aiming for more pre-season minutes under his belt before the Premier League season opener against Manchester United at Old Trafford on August 16.
