The Red Devils reached an agreement to sign the pair last week and they made their way to Manchester earlier today.

The defensive duo have now undergone their medical tests and could be announced as new players in the next 24 hours.

United boss Erik ten Hag has previously worked with De Ligt and Mazraoui at Ajax and the duo could seamlessly adapt to his tactics.

The Red Devils start their league campaign against Fulham on Friday night and De Ligt and Mazraoui are expected to be registered on time.

The club had a bad start to the previous season, but they will be hoping for a better beginning to challenge for the Champions League places.

De Ligt could line up alongside Lisandro Martinez at the heart of the defence with Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw in the full-back roles.
