Chelsea unlikely to sign Victor Osimhen - Romano
Chelsea are unlikely to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as things stand, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have been long-term admirers of the Nigerian star and it was recently claimed that they could use
Romelu Lukaku as a makeweight to sign him.
However, that does not appear a possibility. Napoli are currently negotiating a separate deal for Lukaku and remain optimistic of securing an agreement.
Meanwhile, the Blues have plans to sign Osimhen on loan with an option to buy next summer, but the striker has no desire to accept such a deal.
He is only willing to join the Blues on a permanent transfer. Meanwhile, the 25-year-old is also unwilling to accept a pay-cut to join the Blues.
Osimhen currently earns around £210,000 per week in Naples, but the Blues are only prepared to offer £150,000 weekly for the move.
The former Lille man has made it clear to his agent that he won't accept such terms. Hence, Chelsea could miss out on signing him.
