Enzo Maresca provides update on Raheem Sterling's future
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided an update on Raheem Sterling following the 2-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City.
The England international was a regular part of pre-season, but he was not picked in the matchday squad against the Cityzens today.
When asked whether he will stay, Maresca said that he has no idea and there are some players who are likely to head for the exit door.
He said: "I don't know [if he will stay]. For all the players, if they want to be Chelsea players, we will try to use them but it's no more than a decision."
"I want Raheem Sterling but I want all the players and there is no space for all of them."
Sterling has three years left on his £325,000 per week contract and he has no plans of securing a move to the Saudi Pro League.
There are no clubs in Europe that can afford his current wages and he may demand a pay-off to accept a pay-cut elsewhere.
