Chelsea planning late £45m move to sign Ivan Toney
Chelsea are planning a late move to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney, according to The Sun.
The Englishman has been tipped to leave the Bees for the last few months and manager
Thomas Frank recently acknowledged that he could head for the exit door.
Al Ahli have made a formal bid of £35 million for the striker, but he is said to be evaluating his options. The Sun now claim that Chelsea could make a late offer.
The Blues have been fancied to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen in the last few weeks, but they have made no progress over a deal with the Serie A giants.
The club are open to signing Osimhen on loan with an option to buy, but the Nigerian star is reluctant to consider a temporary move unless there is a buy obligation.
With this in mind, the Blues could make a late swoop for Toney. They could reportedly pay around £45m to secure his services before the August 30 deadline.
