Liverpool have almost agreed a 40 million euro transfer package with Valencia for the signing of goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, and the Georgia international will fly to England for talks on Monday. A medical will follow shortly thereafter.

The move has surprised many observers, particularly as Alisson has been so loyal to Liverpool and remains the first choice goalkeeper.
