West Ham want to sign former Chelsea striker
West Ham United are interested in signing Roma striker Tammy Abraham on an initial loan deal, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The England international recovered from a serious knee injury last season and he is currently out of contention for a starting role.
Artem Dovbyk is the preferred striker under manager Daniele De Rossi and this could urge Abraham to consider a new challenge.
Abraham has been linked with a Premier League return for some time and it is claimed that West Ham could make a move to sign him.
The Hammers recruited Niclas Fullkrug to bolster their frontline earlier this summer, but they are eyeing another quality marksman.
Abraham is available for a package of around £19m, but the Hammers could sign him on loan with a conditional obligation to buy.
Roma are likely to accept such a proposal, considering they are aiming to land a new centre-forward before the window closes on Friday evening.
