Man Utd eyeing surprise move for Turkish centre-back
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Trabzonspor centre-back Ali Sahin Yilmaz next year.
The Red Devils bolstered their backline with the signings of Matthijs de Ligt,
Leny Yoro and
Noussair Mazraoui this summer.
The club are also looking at signings for the future and Milliyet claim that they had scouts in attendance to watch Yilmaz.
The 20-year-old was in action for Turkey's Under-20 side against England this week. The game ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
United scouts were impressed by what they had seen of Yilmaz and a positive report has been sent back to the hierarchy.
It remains to be seen whether United will make an approach for Yilmaz, who has yet to make his debut at the senior level.
He has been involved in friendly games for Trabzonspor, but has yet to make his debut. He could make his first-team bow soon.
Yilmaz has been an unused substitute in the early part of the campaign and it may not be long before he makes his senior debut.
