Erik ten Tag breaks silence on Bruno Fernandes' form
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has broken silence over Bruno Fernandes' poor form in the new season.
The Portugal international has struggled at club level since the start of the campaign and he has been dreadful in recent games.
Fernandes lost possession on 34 occasions versus Crystal Palace and he was guilty of being dispossessed 19 times against Twente.
He barely created a chance in either of those games, but Ten Hag is not overly concerned and believes he can turnaround his fortunes.
He said: "I think the team brings him in a situation. I think he is capable and he has proven already, so many times in the Premier League, he can create many chances.
"I am convinced he will not do differently. He will come on this point, he will find his form. One hundred per cent and it is just a matter of time."
Fernandes will be in action against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. He has the opportunity to redeem himself on Sunday.
The Portuguese has excelled against Spurs in the past. He has five goal contributions from eight appearances versus the London club.
