Chelsea eyeing new striker in next transfer window?
Chelsea could enter the transfer market for a new striker in January despite the glowing form of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.
The Blues were determined to land
Victor Osimhen from Napoli earlier this summer, but they were unable to agree personal terms with the striker.
The London giants wanted him to accept a pay-cut to join on an initial loan, but the Nigerian star was adamant over reducing his weekly wages.
The decision has proved a blessing in disguise with Jackson and Nkunku stepping up with some stand-out performances this campaign.
Jackson has four goals in the league. Nkunku has netted 6 in all competitions including a winner against Bournemouth in the top-flight.
Despite this, the club have not ruled out pursuing an elite marksman in January as they look to improve their chances of a top-four finish.
Osimhen has a break clause in his loan deal with Galatasaray whom he joined after rejecting Chelsea . The Blues could return for him.
