Man Utd fully convinced about signing Brazilian star
Manchester United are seriously considering a move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson next year, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The Red Devils were keen on landing the Brazil international from the Serie A outfit last summer, but their £46m offer was knocked back.
The club ended up signing Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain instead, but this has not ended the speculation regarding Ederson.
Plettenberg claims that United are eyeing another midfield acquisition next year with a number of experienced stars due to depart.
Christian Eriksen is expected to leave on a free transfer from the Red Devils when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Casemiro is also likely to be offloaded on a permanent basis.
With this in mind, United are planning a fresh move for Ederson and some of the hierarchy are fully convinced to secure his services.
Ederson has the ability to play in the defensive and central midfield roles. He has a tireless workrate and likes to make key tackles.
Atalanta are likely to demand more than £55m for his sale.
