Gabriel Jesus offered chance to join former club
Brazilian side Palmeiras have enquired over the possibility of signing Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal during the January transfer window, according to Globo Esporte.
The 27-year-old has endured a tough time with the Gunners since the beginning of last season. He has been in-and-out of the starting line-up, scoring just eight goals.
Jesus is no longer an assured starter with Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard ahead of him in the pecking order. It is now reported that Palmeiras have made an enquiry for him.
The Serie A giants are aiming to bolster their squad at the turn of the year and they are open to landing their former graduate on a cut-price deal in the region of €20 million.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has repeatedly said that Jesus remains an important player in the squad and we would be surprised if the club consider a January exit.
The north London giants could wait until the end of the campaign before considering his potential exit. Arsenal are expected to sign a marquee striker by next summer.
