Jose Mourinho keen on signing Man Utd star next year
Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on signing Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof next year.
The Sweden international has become a squad player for the Red Devils this term with the huge competition for places in central defence.
Lindelof is currently behind Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez , Harry Maguire (injured) and Jonny Evans in the pecking order.
He could drop further down the line when Leny Yoro returns from injury.
With this in mind, United have no plans of extending his contract beyond next summer. Lindelof can negotiate with foreign clubs this winter.
Mourinho is keen on bringing the former Benfica man to Istanbul and he is closely working with the sporting director to broker a transfer.
Fenerbahce may wait until the end of the season to sign him on a free rather than making an approach during the winter transfer window .
It is unlikely that United will consider parting ways with Lindelof too, considering the ongoing injury concerns at the club this year.
