Theo Walcott reacts to Arsenal's shock loss at Bournemouth
Former Arsenal star Theo Walcott has expressed his frustration following the club's 2-0 Premier League defeat to Bournemouth on the road.
The Gunners suffered their first loss of the league campaign against the Cherries and it was assisted by two high-profile defensive errors.
William Saliba was handed a straight red card after denying Evanilson a clear goalscoring opportunity. With one man down, Ryan Christie eventually broke the deadlock for the Cherries with a fine set-piece goal.
The game was put to bed with a 79th minute penalty scored by Justin Kluivert . Jakub Kiwior was responsible for the goal, having made a dreadful backpass which contributed to David Raya fouling Evanilson.
Speaking after the defeat, Walcott told BBC Sport: "It was like they were still on international duty — it was very strange."
Arsenal missed the chance to temporarily secure the top spot in the Premier League with a costly defeat. They could drop to fourth in the table if Chelsea manage to beat Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow.
