Enzo Maresca confirms Chelsea star will face Panathinaikos
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen will face Panathinaikos in the Conference League tomorrow.
The Dane was absent from the matchday squad against Liverpool last weekend due to concussion protocols, but he is now deemed fit.
Speaking in today's press conference, Maresca said that Jorgensen is available for selection once more and he is going to play on Thursday night.
Maresca said: "He's available and is going to play."
Robert Sanchez has been the regular goalkeeper in the Premier League, but his position is not entirely certain at the current point of time.
He has been prone to making individual errors and his poor decision-making contributed to Liverpool 's winning goal at the weekend.
If Jorgensen continues to impress, he could break into the manager's plans in the league too, suppose Sanchez makes more high-profile errors.
Chelsea face Panathinaikos in Athens tomorrow before hosting Newcastle United in Sunday's Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
