Jamie Redknapp praises Arsenal star after Chelsea draw
Premier League pundit Jamie Redknapp has heaped praise on Martin Odegaard following the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners played out an exciting stalemate versus the Blues on the road and Odegaard was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch.
The Norwegian made his first start since recovering from an ankle injury, but he showed no signs of stress over the course of 95 minutes.
Odegaard created four chances in the game and provided the assist for Gabriel Martinelli to open the scoring following the hour mark.
The goal was not sufficient for a victory after Pedro Neto 's wonderstrike, but Redknapp was seriously impressed by the assist from Odegaard.
He said: "It's quality from Odegaard [for the opening goal]. He plays a delightful ball into the far post. It's a really good finish. Arsenal 's performances will go up and up now he's back."
With the draw, Arsenal have climbed back into the top four of the Premier League and they will be aiming to close the nine-point gap to the top following the final international break of the year.
