Abdukodir Khusanov to join Man City
Manchester City are to complete a deal to sign Lens' defender Abdukodir Khusanov in a transfer package worth a reported £37 million. The central defender will be the first Uzbekistan international to play in the Premier League, a
Man City manager Pep Guardiola is widely expected to be busy during the current January transfer window , and has been given a reported £70 million to spend on fresh faces. A large chunk of that money shall be spent on signing 20-year-old Khusanov. The player has appeared in 13 Ligue 1 games this season already and will represent a huge profit for the player that Lens signed in a deal worth only £100,000 18 months ago.
A tough tackling centre-back, it is hoped that the Uzbek star will replace Ruben Dias at the heart of City's defence for many years to come, and City appear to have beaten Real Madrid in completing a move for the Lens defender.
