Man Utd make decision on Kobbie Mainoo's future
Manchester United have decided against loaning out Kobbie Mainoo next season after speaking with manager Erik ten Hag.
The 18-year-old made his debut against Charlton Athletic in January. He started in the number 10 position after
Bruno Fernandes was suspended.
Mainoo made two more appearances for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign, but he looks set to play a more dominant role next term.
The teenager has started in both friendlies for United this summer, and Ten Hag is said to be pleased with the progress of the academy talent.
While youngsters are generally loaned out, Ten Hag is convinced that Mainoo could play a meaningful part in the first-team.
Aside from Mainoo, Hannibal Mejbri has also caught the eye with his midfield displays, though he is more likely to be sold.
With United having Financial Fair Play concerns to deal with, the club are open to selling him amid interest from Borussia Dortmund.
The Tunisia international could leave the club for €15-20 million.
