Five Italian clubs want to sign Man Utd defender
Five Italians clubs are interested in signing Manchester United defender Harry Maguire this summer, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The centre-back fell out-of-favour under manager Erik ten Hag last season, and he made just eight starts in the Premier League.
He is currently considering his future at the club, and it is claimed that Napoli, Juventus, Roma, AC Milan and Inter Milan want him.
However, neither of those clubs are prepared to pay a fee up front. They prefer to discuss a loan deal with an option to purchase.
United are currently looking for £30-40 million to part ways with Maguire, but his current salary is a huge stumbling block for several clubs.
West Ham United seem willing to meet the asking price for him, but they are not in a position to pay his current £200,000-a-week salary.
Unless United are prepared to hand him a pay-off, it appears highly unlikely that he will leave the club on a permanent deal this summer.
