Man Utd weighing up second offer for Serie A starlet
Manchester United are lining up a second transfer offer for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Red Devils are determined to sign the 20-year-old from the Serie A outfit, and they have already made a verbal offer of €60 million.
Their proposal has fallen short of the €70m asking price, but the club remain confident that they can reach an agreement very soon.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the player's representatives have raised the pressure on Atalanta such that a deal could be agreed.
Hojlund will be in England on Saturday where Atalanta are scheduled to face Bournemouth in a friendly at the Vitality Stadium.
United will be hoping to secure an agreement during his stay such that he can undergo his medical tests as soon as possible.
Manager Erik ten Hag would ideally want the striker in team training when the squad return from the pre-season tour of the US.
Hojlund could initially start off the bench before becoming a regular starter. Marcus Rashford could lead the line in the early weeks.
