Man Utd reach agreement with West Ham over defender sale
Manchester United have reached an agreement with West Ham United over the sale of Harry Maguire this summer.
The England international fell out-of-favour under Erik ten Hag last term, and he has now decided to move on from the club.
Earlier today, the Hammers agreed a deal in principle to sign the 30-year-old. They are expected to pay a fee of around £30m.
United have allowed Maguire to discuss personal terms with the east London outfit and a transfer could be finalised soon.
Meanwhile, United have already started the process of pursuing a replacement and they have earmarked Benjamin Pavard as the top target.
Pavard has entered the final year of his contract with the German champions, and he has no plans of renewing with them.
Hence, he is expected to head for the exit door in the coming days and it seems United are now in pole position with Maguire leaving.
Talks are already underway between United and Bayern over him.
