Liverpool handed big boost in signing Man Utd target
Liverpool have been handed a big boost in signing Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard ahead of Manchester United this summer.
The Frenchman has entered the final year of his contract with the Bavarian giants and he has made the decision to move on.
He has personally agreed terms with the Red Devils, but a deal is now complicated with Harry Maguire opting to stay put.
Maguire was anticipated to leave the club for West Ham United in a deal worth £30 million, but it is no longer on the cards.
The England international has not agreed personal terms with the Hammers and he is prepared to fight for his role at United.
As a result, United cannot afford to sign Pavard due to Financial Fair Play issues and this could directly benefit Liverpool .
A recent BILD update revealed that the Reds have been following the World Cup winner since the start of the summer.
With United unlikely to afford him, the Merseyside giants have the chance of prising him away from Bayern in the coming days.
