Man Utd handed late boost to offload Harry Maguire?
Manchester United have been handed a late boost in offloading Harry Maguire, according to Mirror.
The England international was the subject of interest from West Ham United earlier this month. A fee of around £30 million was agreed between the clubs, but he refused to accept personal terms.
As a result, the east London outfit decided to pursue Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart, but the move for the Greek has fallen through after he failed to pass his medical tests.
The Hammers are now planning to revive their pursuit of Maguire and it remains to be seen whether they can sign him in the second time of asking.
The former Red Devils captain is willing to accept a pay-cut of around £90,000-a-week with the Hammers, provided United are prepared to compensate the same with a huge pay-off
United were unwilling to do so earlier this month, but could change their stance if manager Erik ten Hag demands them to sign a quality replacement before the transfer window closes.
