Iheanacho arrived at City in 2014, spending three years there and helping his club win the League Cup in 2015-16. From there, a move to Leicester City followed, and the 2021 FA Cup success was a particular highlight for the striker.

However, last seasons dismal league season for the Foxes saw Iheanacho's side sink to the Championship, leaving the 26-year-old forward looking for a transfer elsewhere.

With 12 goals in 45 games for Nigeria, the forward is the type of goalscorer that Palace are looking to add to their squad, and a transfer fee of around £28 million has been suggested.

As we approach the final week of the transfer window , Palace are looking to wrap up a deal promptly as there appears to be some interest from Saudi Arabia.
