West Ham finally reach agreement to sign Chelsea target
West Ham United have finally reached an agreement with Ajax to sign Mohammed Kudus on a permanent transfer.
The Hammers have been in constant negotiations with Ajax for the Ghanaian over the past 10 days and they have eventually convinced him.
David Moyes have agreed to pay €41.5m up front with €3m in add-ons. There will be a 10 per cent sell-on as part of the deal.
Kudus has been one of the best performers in the Eredivisie. Last season, he registered 18 goals and seven assists for Ajax.
The 23-year-old has found most of his success from the right wing, but he can also operate as a striker or in any midfield role.
His versatility would be a huge plus for the Hammers. The news will come as a blow for Chelsea , who have had him as a target.
The Blues were lining up an approach, but the Hammers have moved in advance to agree terms with Ajax as well as the player.
