Man Utd wanted £65m to sell out-of-favour star
Manchester United were open to selling Jadon Sancho for around £65m before the transfer deadline this month.
The Englishman has failed to live up to his expectations since his move from Borussia Dortmund two years ago.
He recently had a public fall-out with the manager, and The Athletic claim that United were prepared to sell him.
A number of Saudi clubs enquired over Sancho's availability before the deadline, but they were put off by the price.
United wanted around £65m to part ways with the 23-year-old, but none of the teams were willing to pay such a fee.
Al-Ittihad made a loan bid with an option to buy, but United wanted a mandatory buy clause as part of the deal.
Sancho is currently training with the reserves at United after publicly criticising manager Erik ten Hag this month.
He has refused to issue an apology to the head coach and could be offloaded when the transfer window reopens.
