Erik ten Hag praises Man Utd captain after Rashford decision
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has heaped praise on Bruno Fernandes after he asked Marcus Rashford to take the penalty against Everton on the road yesterday.
Rashford has been going through a tough season by his high standards and he has netted only two goals across all competitions for United. One of those came from the penalty spot last night.
The Englishman ended a drought of nearly 12 weeks with the spotkick. Speaking after the 3-0 win, Ten Hag praised the leadership qualities of Fernandes, who gave the ball to Rashford.
The Dutch tactician said that it was a good choice from the Portuguese to pick Rashford for the penalty. The manager believes such decisions help in forming a successful season for any club.
United climbed up to sixth in the Premier League table after the victory over the Toffees and they are now only six points behind Arsenal , who are currently top of the standings after 13 games.
