Man United enter race to sign Chelsea attacking target
Manchester United have reportedly joined Chelsea in the race to sign Lyon playmaker Rayan Cherki next month, according to Football Transfers.
The Frenchman was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, but Les Gones decided to keep him after selling Bradley Bracola to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ligue 1 side have since had a poor campaign. They have pulled themselves out of the drop zone with three straight wins, but the financial issues are mounting.
As a result, they could part ways with Cherki in the New Year and reports claim that United could go head-to-head with Chelsea in the pursuit of the highly-rated forward.
Cherki was valued at around €50 million by Les Gones last summer, but both clubs will be aiming to sign him for a lesser price when the transfer window reopens.
The youngster is known for his strong dribbling skills in the final third. He has similar qualities as former Lyon captain Nabil Fekir , who is currently with Real Betis.
