Chelsea & Spurs favourites to sign Man Utd target
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as favourites to sign Manchester United target Jean-Clair Todibo this month, according to Foot Mercato.
The Frenchman has been linked with Spurs over recent weeks. The north London giants have already made an offer on the table, but they are yet to receive a response from Nice.
Amidst this, it is claimed that Chelsea have opened talks with Nice for the centre-back's signature. United are also mentioned as candidates, but they are only monitoring him for now.
Nice have said that Todibo is not for sale in the current transfer window , and their stance could be related to owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe 's ongoing investment into United.
Ratcliffe will become a minority investor at United in the next three to five weeks and the British billionaire may want to bring in Todibo instead of selling to a direct rival.
If his deal with United does not get approved by the Premier League by January end, Ratcliffe may delay Todibo's exit until the summer such that the Red Devils sign him.
