Chelsea unlikely to sell midfielder in January
Chelsea are unlikely to part ways with midfielder Conor Gallagher during the ongoing transfer window.
Gallagher was touted to leave the Blues last summer where there was interest from
Tottenham Hotspur and
West Ham United.
Spurs tried to sign him until the deadline, but the midfielder was happy to stay put after the asking price was not met.
The story could be the same this month. Football Transfers claim that the Blues may not receive good bids for Gallagher.
The west London giants want at least £40 million to consider a sale. Spurs are not in a position to pay the fee at the moment.
The same goes for several clubs in the Premier League and the Blues are likely to keep hold of Gallagher until the summer.
The Englishman has been in fine form for the Blues this term and he has been one of the near ever-presents in the line-up.
Despite this, the Blues are said to be exploring his sale as his departure would represent pure profit in their financial books.
