Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Liverpool, Jesus injured
Arsenal will be aiming to end a three-match winless streak when they host Liverpool in the FA Cup third round today.
The Gunners picked up just one point from the final three league games in 2023 which dropped them to fourth in the table.
Manager Mikel Arteta will want a strong response against the Reds.
Predicted Line-up:
Aaron Ramsdale has largely played in the Cup competition since losing his number one spot to David Raya . The Englishman is likely to get the nod between the sticks today.
In the backline, it could be the same back four with Oleksandr Zinchenko nursing a calf injury while Takehiro Tomiyasu is away on international duty. Ben White , William Saliba , Gabriel Magalhaes and Jakub Kiwior are primed to start in defence.
We could see a midfield change with Kai Havertz dropping out for the more defensive Jorginho. Declan Rice could play in a slightly advanced role ahead of the Italian ace.
Further forward, Bukayo Saka , Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli should form the attack behind Eddie Nketiah , who will lead the line with Gabriel Jesus out with a fresh knee injury.
Predicted Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Magalhaes, Kiwior; Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Nketiah.
