West Ham interested in signing another Chelsea star
West Ham United are interested in signing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah during the ongoing transfer window.
The Blues graduate has been nursing a thigh injury from the summer, but he is anticipated to return in the coming weeks.
Despite this, there is regular transfer interest and Talksport now claim that the Hammers have joined the race for him.
The Hammers are set for a busy back end to the season with European commitments and David Moyes is eyeing more depth at the back.
Chalobah is seen as an ideal acquisition as he can play in central defence, right-back or even in the holding midfield position if required.
The Blues are more than willing to sanction his sale, but a deal could depend on the price tag. West Ham may want a cut-price transfer.
Chalobah was valued in the region of £30m last summer, but the price is bound to come down with his lack of minutes due to a long-term injury.
West Ham have already done business with Chelsea in the past. They currently have Emerson and Kurt Zouma who joined from them.
