Sir Jim Ratcliffe breaks silence after Man Utd deal
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has expressed his delight after securing a minority stake at Manchester United from the Glazers.
The British billionaire secured a 25 per cent stake at the club before Christmas last year. He will take control of football operations soon.
When pressed by reporters, Ratcliffe was delighted regarding the same but added that the deal won't be formally approved until mid-February.
He said: "Man United stake is the most exciting thing I’ve done. Deal will not be completed before early, mid February."
United have not made any signings in the current transfer window , and they are likely to be limited to a loan deal due to the lack of funds.
The club are facing FFP difficulties at the moment and Ratcliffe can't do anything to change it as he has yet to receive formal approval.
The Red Devils are currently eight points behind the top four and the gap could extend if Arsenal go on to beat Crystal Palace on January 20.
