Fulham open talks to sign Chelsea defender
Fulham have opened talks with Chelsea to sign Trevoh Chalobah on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Chalobah has not played any part of the Blues this term. He suffered a thigh injury in pre-season, and has been recovering from the same.
The Englishman should return at some point in February and it is claimed that Marco Silva 's side want to sign him on a temporary basis.
The west London club are not prepared to commit to a permanent deal due to his recent injury and want to assess his performances first.
If Chalobah goes on to impress under Silva, there is every possibility that the Cottagers will trigger the buy clause agreed in the deal.
Chalobah was valued in the region of £35 million last summer, but the price is expected to be much less due to his lengthy injury lay-off.
Bayern were determined to sign him on a temporary basis last summer, but they are no longer interested in pursuing a move for Chalobah.
