Cristiano Ronaldo wants Man Utd star at Al-Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo has urged Al-Nassr to sign his former teammate Casemiro from Manchester United this summer.
Casemiro joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid last season and had a brilliant debut campaign with offensive and defensive contributions.
However, he has struggled in his second year at the club. He has barely played over the past few months as he has been nursing a hamstring problem.
Casemiro could be involved in the FA Cup fourth round this weekend, but he may not be an assured starter in the Premier League anymore.
Kobbie Mainoo has been brilliant in the defensive midfield role in his absence and the 18-year-old could be the mainstay going forward.
United are more than open to offloading Casemiro in the summer and it is claimed that Ronaldo wants to reunite with him at Al-Nassr soon.
He has told the hierarchy to pursue his services and it remains to be seen whether they can reach an agreement with the Red Devils.
The club bought him from Real Madrid for an initial £60 million and may want at least 50 per cent of the price to sanction his sale.
