Mikel Arteta confirms Arsenal midfielder won't face Forest
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that midfielder Thomas Partey won't be available for the Premier League meeting against Nottingham Forest on the road.
The Gunners travel to City Ground for their next league game on Tuesday night and ahead of the encounter, Arteta provided an update on the fitness of Partey.
The Ghanaian returned to full training after his thigh injury in November, but the manager has clearly mentioned that he won't be part of the matchday squad.
He said: "Thomas won’t be one of those. We are still uncertain with a few players. Thomas is not in the squad."
Arsenal ended a three-match losing run in fine fashion earlier this month. They registered a comfortable 3-0 league win over Crystal Palace in front of their fans.
They now face a Forest side on the up under Nuno Espirito Santo and will have to play at their best to pick up three points. Arsenal have lost at City Ground in the last three trips.
