Amidst this, The Telegraph claim that the Blues are weighing up different options and De Zerbi is one of the top names on their wishlist.

Pochettino's job remains relatively safe at the moment, but he could lose his job in the summer depending on how the season ends for the Blues.

Chelsea are not alone in the pursuit of De Zerbi. Liverpool are also admirers of him as they seek a successor to the departing Jurgen Klopp .

Manchester United are also in the pursuit of the Italian head coach. Erik ten Hag could be sacked at the conclusion of the ongoing campaign.
