Chelsea want to sign Premier League striker instead of Osimhen
Chelsea are likely to prioritise a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney over signing Napoli star Victor Osimhen this summer.
The Blues have had another poor Premier League season and they are currently 11th in the standings with just 36 points.
The club have struggled up front yet again and the hierarchy are expected to pursue a marquee striker at the end of the season.
Osimhen has been on their radar for some while, but a deal looks impossible due to the club's ongoing Financial Fair Play issues.
The Blues can't afford to trigger the striker's release clause of over £100m. Napoli are unlikely to accept any other solution.
This is expected to turn their attention towards Toney, who could be prised away from the Bees for around £60m this summer.
The big concern for the Blues is the fact that Toney has the desire to move to Arsenal , who have been long-term admirers of him.
The striker has publicly revealed his admiration for the Gunners too.
