West Ham ready to pay £20m to sign Man Utd star
West Ham United are prepared to pay around £20 million to sign Manchester United star Harry Maguire at the end of the season.
The Hammers were keen on landing the England international last summer, but their proposal was not sufficient to convince United.
The east London outfit were willing to pay as much as £30m, but United's demands for more pulled the plug on the proposed deal.
Maguire was also happy to fight for his position, but the scenario could change as he enters the final year of his contract soon.
The Sun claim that the Hammers will make a renewed approach for the former United captain when the transfer window reopens.
David Moyes ' side will propose to pay £20m and believe they can get a deal over the line due to Maguire's contract situation at United.
Maguire's current United deal expires in June next year and as things stand, the club have not activated a one-year extension clause.
The Hammers feel Maguire could be tempted to accept the move this time around. They are prepared to hand him a three-year deal.
